Day 2: 21 Day Detox Super Green Apple Veggie Juice

It’s Day 2 people of the 21 Day Detox plan…umm…how would I sum up day 1…after the wonderful Strawberry Banana Blueberry Smoothie, it was all down hill from there!

People…I promise to tell you the whole truth…nothing but the truth!

Everything was going great and then I made this!

Do you see this…well I made this…this…green thing…yes…I am still mad at it so it’s not getting a pretty name yet!

I made it…then I took a big gulp…I can’t not explain properly the words to describe the feeling I had after the first gulp…let’s keep it clean people and just say…there was no period of enlightenment that took place, at all…

I felt like the juice attacked me, and I was really upset and traumatized by this experience…

Technically, I can’t blame the drink…it was my fault, I forgot to dilute this drink with water to make the flavor…well drinkable…I will never make that mistake again!

I had to take a step back…brush my teeth…twice, gargle, and brush again…lol…then I got my bearings back, and said…you can fix this…you can do it…don’t give up…and I saw water, purified water, it saved the day, and then the lemon gave it a tang!

I diluted the juice with half water and lemon juice and believe me when I tell you this…if you ever…I mean ever…ever…ever, make a juice that is too strong…add water and
lemon…it’s a juice saver!

I am glad that is over…and I promise to tell you the truth…I fixed the recipe so you will not have to experience what I went through…and I am a strong chick, I can take green juice straight up…but this was on a whole other level people…I promise…!

Until Day 3…

Super Green Apple Veggie Juice

Servings: 32 ounces

Ingredients:

1 cucumber, peeled if non-organic
1/2 bunch parsley
2 apples, seeded, diced, peeled if non-organic
4 stalks celery, diced
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 1/2 cups purified water

Directions:

Juice cucumber, parsley, apples, celery, place into jar, add water and lemon, stir. Enjoy!

      Jai I drink as much juice as I want when juice fasting. When I did this fast I only had fresh green juice and water. If you’re new to juice fasting I would highly suggest you start off slowly. When I first started I would do a 1-2 day juice fast over the weekend, then over time I would increase to 3 days…I eventually worked my way up to 3 weeks over a period of time.
